Sculpting Your Beauty through Liposuction

The accumulation of and the disproportionate distribution of fat in the body is often a result of genetics or a hormone imbalance. Often, the fat will accumulate in the mid and lower regions of the body, with a large amount settling in the hips and buttocks. Liposculpture, or liposuction, removes the unwanted fat to help reshape the affected area. This procedure can be done on nearly any part of the body including the abdomen, thighs, arms, neck, and the inside of the knee through cosmetic surgery.

Procedure
Before the procedure, the patient is given an injection of adrenaline and local anaesthesia in the fatty area to help reduce post-operative pain. Under general anaesthesia, a small incision is made near the area to be sculpted. A cannula, a small tube connected to an aspirator, is inserted, and the fatty tissue is removed through the cannula. This procedure typically causes no damage to the surrounding tissue, nerves, or blood vessels. Once the liposuction is completed, a dissolvable suture is used to close the incision.

In some cases, a cannula is not required. Where only small amounts of fatty tissue need to be removed, a syringe may be used instead.

Recovery
Bruising is common and will diminish and disappear completely within the first few months.

Swelling is also common and will fully dissipate in about six months. At this time, the actual results of the procedure will be noticeable.

Numbness caused by the stretching of the nerves is normal after liposuction and will disappear within a few months.

Iron pills may be recommended for patients who experience problems with anemia to compensate for bleeding that may have occurred during the procedure.

Scars from the procedure are generally small and may appear red and rose immediately afterward. Over time, they will fade and flatten.
Pain is normal after the procedure, and medication may be prescribed to help ease the pain. All medication should be taken as directed.

Complications
Patients should stop smoking and taking contraceptives prior to the procedure. Smoking causes circulatory problems and causes unnecessary delays in the healing process. Contraceptives have been known to cause thrombosis after surgical procedures.

Because surgeons are only allowed to remove a certain amount of fat at each procedure, repeated procedures may be necessary for obese patients.

At times, especially in cases of repeated liposuction procedures, enough fat can be removed that the skin sags because of inelasticity. Removal of the excess skin is possible with another procedure for an additional cost.

Liposuction does not improve the appearance of cellulite.
Irregularities in the contour of the area on which the procedure was performed may appear after the patient is fully healed. These irregularities are common when liposculpture is performed over large areas like the abdomen. A second procedure may be necessary to correct this issue and can be performed six months after the initial procedure. Because the results of the procedure are impossible to determine until the patient is fully healed, additional costs will be incurred by the patient for additional procedures.

My Childhood Teddy Bear

I guessed I’ve given away all my childhood stuffed toys, it turned out that I found this Teddy Bear inside a drawer several days ago. Now I put it on my desk. This stuffed toy is still in good condition, though it’s more than twenty years old. My mother gave me the Teddy Bear when I was a little girl. I’ve decided to keep it :)
